A Massage Folkehøjskolen

Mette and her team teach Ka Huna massage in Australia based on the traditions and philosophy of the Danish Folkehøjskole. She has trained more than 4000 practitioners since 1994.

At High Spirits, Mette often gets asked what the difference is between KaHuna and Lomi Lomi is. This is what she says:

"In short, Lomi Lomi uses the hands as an extension of the Heart in long flowing strokes on the Body; it takes you to a deep, quiet place inside yourself. Your breath slows, and your mind is free, relaxed and almost empty.

KaHuna massage is our temple-style massage using the hands, forearms and elbows to move around the table (using flowing Hula and Tai Chi style movements), a beautiful ritual style of bodywork creating a healing and balancing experience for Body, Mind and Soul."
